About
The Galleon Inn sits right by the beach in Broad Haven, making it an easy choice if you fancy a pint with a sea view. It’s got that proper no-fuss pub feel – wooden tables, solid portions of food, and a mix of locals and holidaymakers. If you’re after somewhere that lets dogs inside without making a big deal about it, this is one of those places.
Dog Access and Rules
The pub has a small amount of outdoor seating but dogs are also welcome inside the pub, which is ideal when the weather turns and sitting outside isn’t an option.
Things To See & Do
Broad Haven beach is right outside the pub, and when the tide’s out, there’s a huge stretch of sand for dogs to run about on. In summer, dogs are banned from the main section of the beach, but you can still walk them on the far ends. At low tide, you can also walk all the way over to Little Haven along the sand, which is a decent little route if you fancy a stroll before or after your drink.
If you’re up for a longer walk, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through Broad Haven. Head south towards Little Haven and beyond, or go north towards Druidston for some cracking cliff-top views.
Access and Facilities
Broad Haven is easy enough to get to. If you’re driving, there’s a car park just behind the pub, which can fill up quickly in peak season.
