About
Pwll y Wrach (the Witches’ Cauldron) is a striking geological feature on the Pembrokeshire coast. It is a collapsed cave formed where the sea has picked out soft, crumbling shales and sandstones along a fault. The crater still connects to the sea and is popular for seals and the more daring canoeists or coasteering enthusiasts. There are some restrictions at the water level between late August and November due to breeding seals, and you should obey signs restricting access.
To reach the location, a nice dog walk starts at Ceibwr Bay, just over one km away.
