About
Greenaway Beach is tucked away near Trebetherick, just along from busier spots like Polzeath. It’s a small, peaceful cove that often flies under the radar, and that’s part of its magic.
The beach is coarse sand and rocks, backed by low cliffs, with many rock pools at low tide. It’s not wide, and at high tide it almost disappears, but when the tide is out, it opens into a little space to explore.
If you enjoy quieter beaches where you can slow down a bit, this one has a gentle, unspoilt feel that’s easy to fall into.
Dog Access and Rules
Greenaway Beach allows dogs year-round.
On nearby coastal paths, dogs are generally fine but should be kept under control, especially near cliffs or livestock.
Things To See & Do
At low tide, this beach really comes to life. Little pools appear between the rocks, full of sea life and interesting textures. It’s perfect for curious dogs who like a good sniff and wander.
Even if the beach itself isn’t dog-accessible when you visit due to tides, the coastal path above is a joy.
This isn’t a “do everything” kind of beach. It’s more about appreciating the quiet with your dog by your side.
You’re close to several brilliant spots like Daymer Bay, which can offer easier access, facilities and more space for a proper run.
Access and Facilities
You have no facilities at Greenaway Beach, which is accessible via steep steps from the coast path. Located around a mile from both Daymer Bay and Polzeath, so you have under a 30-minute coastal stroll from nearby parking and facilities.
