Trevone Bay is a large gentle shelving sandy beach protected by cliffs on either side, the bay also has some alcoves that can provide some natural protection from any wind. You must be careful of the sea as it can be rough surf.
Trevone Bay Beach has seasonal dog restrictions, prohibiting dogs from 15th May to 30th September between 10 am – 6 pm.
To one side, in front of the houses, you have a grass area, and on the other, the coast path takes you to the cliffs above the beach, where you have an interesting blowhole eighty feet deep formed by a collapsed sea cave known locally as ‘Round Hole‘.
As a dog owner, you can get around the seasonal restrictions by popping around to Newtrain Beach next door as it is year-round dog-friendly but contrasts with the sand of Trevone Bay, in that it offers large rock slabs, rock pools and even a sea-water swimming pool.
Facilities at the beach include plenty of car parking spaces, toilets, beach cafe shop and lifeguards in the summer. You also have a small farm shop and pub about halfway down the steep road to the beach.
