About
Tucked away on the peaceful coastline of the Roseland Peninsula, Kiberick Cove is one of those hidden beaches that feels a little bit special the moment you arrive.
The beach is a mix of shingle and rocks, with a narrow strip of sand that widens as the tide goes out.
Compared to Cornwall’s wilder north coast, Kiberick feels calmer and more relaxed. The sea is often gentler, the atmosphere quieter, and the surrounding landscape soft and green. It’s the sort of place where you can drop onto the beach whilst out walking the coast path, slow your pace, let your dog wander beside you, and just enjoy the peace.
Dog Access and Rules
Kiberick Cove is dog-friendly year-round, with no seasonal restrictions.
This is not usually a busy beach, and so it is ideal for dogs that prefer a bit more space and a calmer environment. Watch the tide, as the beach size changes significantly.
Things To See & Do
The cove links into the South West Coast Path, offering some lovely walking routes along the Roseland coast. This is how most people will experience Kiberick Cove as a stop-off on a longer day of exploring different coves along this coastline.
At low tide, you’ll find a mix of sand, pebbles and small rock pools to explore.
If you want an actual beach trip with facilities, head west toward other Roseland beaches, Portscatho and Porthcurnick, for a slightly busier feel with cafes and sand, or in the opposite direction for more secluded natural coves.
Access and Facilities
Kiberick Cove is fairly natural and low-key, so it’s best to come prepared. Although you have no facilities, you do have a small car park with a short stroll down to the cove, although the last stretch down into the cove is steep.
For cafes and toilets, nearby Portscatho is your best option.
