Things To See & Do
Pedn Vounder Beach is a dog-friendly sandy beach with the cliffs of Treryn Dinas. The eastern headland of the beach is home to Logan’s Rock, a rectangular block of granite that can be rocked back and forth by one person.
The beach’s remote location ensures a relaxed environment where your dog can enjoy the natural surroundings. If you don’t mind the walk, it also provides a great alternative to the seasonal restrictions imposed at Porthcurno Beach.
You will need to check the tide times, as at high tide, the beach disappears, and you need to be careful not to get cut off.
Access and Facilities
Pedn Vounder is a beach with no facilities and is not easy to get to, with the closest car park being in Porthcurno. The final stage of the coast path walk is a descent down steep rocks at the bay’s western end. Walking from Porthcurno beach at low tide is possible, but you must be careful, as the fast tides can force you to take the coast path back, which involves steep climbs.
