About
Pentargon Cove is a small, remote cove to the North of Boscastle, surrounded by crumbling cliffs and with no access to the beach below. Within the cliffs, you can see Pentargon Waterfall, which drops 37 metres (120 feet).
Pentargon Waterfall can be visited all year-round, with each season offering its own perspective. However, if you visit, as we did, in the height of summer, you realise this is a seasonal waterfall, and you may see NO water as it all dries up.
This walk is a short one, just under 2 miles, that starts in Boscastle and follows the South West Coast Path northwards away from the harbour. The walk climbs gently out of the valley before levelling out. The surrounding cliffs offer stunning views, and the area is a haven for walkers, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts.
Accessed via the South West Coast Path, this is a narrow, uneven coastal path, not suitable for wheels or dogs with mobility issues.
Dog Access and Rules
This is a coastal walk, and dogs are welcome, but they must be under control and you should have a lead in case you meet any wildlife or livestock.
Access and Facilities
All the facilities are in Boscastle: car parks, cafes, pubs and toilets.
