Porthallow Beach is a sheltered pebble-and-sand beach, once a thriving pilchard-fishing village on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula. You still get the odd boat pulled up on the beach.

The beach is coarse sand and pebbles, grey in colour, with plenty of rock pools at low tide. At low tide, you’ll find more sand and rock pools to explore.
Porthallow is popular for coastal path walking and marks the midway point of the 630-mile South West Coast Path, which runs from Minehead to Poole.

Facilities at Porthallow Beach include a car park literally on the beach, toilets, The Five Pilchards Inn pub, and a shop.
