About
Near Prawle Point, Devon’s southernmost point, Moor Sands Beach, also known as Venericks Cove, is a pebble beach with rocks and some rock pools. This makes its name a little unusual, as only a small amount of sand is available at low tide.

Things To See & Do
Moor Sands has a natural, untouched charm and is near other good options, like Maceley and Elender Coves.
Your dog can paddle or swim in the shallows, and the rocky shoreline offers plenty of areas for exploring. The coast path leading to Moor Sands Beach provides fantastic walks, with cliff-top views and an array of wildlife to spot, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. Be prepared for a bit of scrambling as you make your way to the beach, as some parts of the path can be rocky, but the stunning views and the secluded feel make it worth every step.
Access and Facilities
Access to Moor Sands Beach requires a little adventure. There are no roads to the beach, so you’ll need to follow a walking trail from the nearby car park at Prawle Point, about a 30-40-minute walk.
Moor Sands Beach is a natural setting, so you have no facilities.
