About
The Master Builder’s House Hotel and Henry’s Pub are set right on the Beaulieu River, in the New Forest. If you’re planning to stay overnight, the hotel offers dog-friendly rooms, making it an equally good base for multi-day exploring or just an overnight stopover.
Whether you’re staying the night or just calling in for food at Henry’s Pub, it fits naturally into a New Forest day out. Menus lean towards classic, well-cooked pub food.
Dog Access and Rules
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in select hotel rooms and areas and in dog-friendly areas of Henry’s Pub, but must be on leads in public areas at all times.
An additional charge applies to dogs staying overnight, but they do provide a comfortable dog bed, bowls and a special treat.
Things To See & Do
The setting helps here. The hotel is perfectly situated for riverside walking, with flat, well-maintained paths along the Beaulieu River. You can wander out and back, adjust the distance easily.
Early morning and evening walks along the river feel peaceful, and you don’t need to get in the car straight away to stretch your legs. As with most of the New Forest, walking around the hotel and pub needs to be lead-based, due to roaming ponies and livestock.
You are just 2 miles away from Beaulieu, which we recommend is a great walk if you are in the area.
Access and Facilities
The hotel and pub are located in Buckler’s Hard, just a short distance from Beaulieu and the coast.
