About
The Trooper is located within Aldbury, just by the Ashridge Estate, and offers a great food and drink stop-off. You can park at the pub, or there is a nice footpath from the Bridgewater Monument visitor area, although it is a steep walk back.
In addition to the pub itself, you also have the Barn Cafe, which does not take bookings and is walk-ins only.
Dog Access and Rules
The Trooper has a dog-friendly area and offers treats!
When you book a table at the main pub, you will need to request a dog-friendly table. The Barn Cafe is walk-ins only, so you don’t need to book.
What's On Offer
The pub has a classic pub menu that works within the boundaries of seasonal ingredients.
Things To See & Do
Aldbury is a very nice Hertfordshire village for dog walks, with a village green and a great spot to explore the Ashridge Estate, or, for a longer walk, drop down onto the Canal towards the Tring Reservoirs.
Access and Facilities
The pub has a large car park, but as it is within the village, it is easily accessed on foot.
